How to get your car ready for the winter.

Take it to you local shop for a winter check over. Tire pressure and coolant should be near the top of things to be checked. Tire pressure drops in the cold weather and low tire pressure kills for fuel mileage. Coolant that is contaminated or has the wrong freeze protection and damage your engine. Preventitive checks can save you expensive repairs. Not sure if the shop you are using is on the up and up? Ask more questions about what the say you need, ask them to show you. An honest shop that you can trust should not have a problem taking you into the shop and explaining what they say it needs. If your trust feelings are doubting it - get a 2nd opinion.
